Glow stick ban Sunday

We brought glow sticks in for the Lips Sunday night.

I had VIP access all weekend and the guys checking bags there were really cool. They would actually have a conversation with you and shed some insight on a few things.

We had no problem bringing them in all weekend and the workers even told us that they didn't care about glowsticks....until Sunday night. They took ours away and we were pretty puzzled as to why so we asked.

They said The Black Keys don't like glow sticks at their shows. They didn't know why but they were told to take all the glow sticks going into the festival.

So for those of you wondering, thats why. It wasn't firefly, it was the black keys

We had them Sunday night...We just brought them in the morning, before they started checking

We were wondering what was up with this. One of the security dudes took 1 stick from us on the way to GirlTalk (but didn't ask to look in the bag for the rest of them). Upon questioning the guy said GirlTalk was against glow sticks which we thought was very confusing. Thanks for the clarification

They asked us Sunday afternoon we had any and we said no. We had to leave the festival to pack up our camp and we came back in before the Lips. They asked if we had any glow sticks or road flares and I said no (this was before I knew my girlfriend had packed some while we were at camp).

I should have just told them they were for the Lips. VIP security was really mellow and friendly all weekend. On Friday they cheered us as we walked up because they barely had any VIP's come thru
