So they released the schedule yesterday and as a 3 year vet I was in shock.
A Van Halen cover band to play late night Saturday? That is just garbage if you ask me. Phish playing 4 hours to close Sunday night sounds crazy. I've never been a huge fan of Phish and I know they have a devoted following but 4 hours!? Don't they have their own festival in New York every summer?
I also can't justify having Ludacris in a tent. He's your biggest rapper and hes put in a tent. I just hope they don't make the same mistake like they did with Sleigh Bells last year. They should have been put on a main stage. That was the biggest tent show I've ever seen.

Sleigh bells was crazy last year. I'm pissed because fun. Young the giant and the civil wars are playing all at the same time. I think it's crap to put similar bands with similar followers on at the same time. Luda in a tent is stupid and people are saying that maybe the van Halen cover band might be a trick or joke since that makes no sense whatsoever. I'm officially more excited for firefly. Wish I knew about it earlier.

The Van Halen tribute is horrible. I thought they would do Puscifer-Danzig-Alice Cooper late night. Seeing Alice Cooper close at 2 or 3 would be amazing. If they matched him against the Chili Peppers I would go see him.
Giving Kenny Rogers a tent is a joke. They gave Jimmy Buffet a main stage in 09 and he got added a couple days before the festival.

The Shins, Young the Giant, and fun. could be problems for a lot of people. Some of these bands playing the 2 main stages I've never even heard of

Exactly!! I just can't figure out their methods this year... I would totally go for Puscifer, Danzig, Alice Cooper at night. I am hoping for Girl Talk & Bassnectar to be later evening sets. It does not do them justice to be during the day. Ugh I am definitely ready for Firefly more than Bonnaroo. Just glad to be getting out of the state for a week but not impressed with Bonnaroo...

shannonb -- that timeframe of the festival is 100% conflict for me! i want to see all of the people playing and really have no idea how to split the time yet :/ lemme know if u come up with anything creative lol

The closest I have come up with is a lot of running. I will let you know if I come up with anything else. Too many bands with similar styles all at once

Be safe guys! I wish I was going but couldn't afford it.
In my previous years I never saw every band I wanted to. To see the most bands you'll have to leave other sets pretty early. Make sure you highlight bands you can't miss and circle bands you want to see but can leave early
