Hey fellow FireFlyers....I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the Red Roof Inn is walking distance from the festival. I know it's not far but is the road a busy highway or can you easily walk it? Also, anything fun to do in town or nearby on Thursday night? So looking forward to this! Thanks for any help! Laura

Not sure how far you are willing to walk but it's about a 2 mile walk.
Dover is pretty dead right now. All the college kids are home for the summer and the parties are down in Dewey. I'm sure some local bars will have bands or something going on

Thanks for the info. It says online that the Dover Downs is within a mile and from what I understand there will be shuttles from there. My question is, though, is N. Dupont Highway the type of highway you can walk on or is it very busy? Thanks for any help!

It's a busy road, but it's got traffic lights. I haven't walked there, so I'm not sure what the shoulder is like.

Not sure if this has been asked before but does anyone know of a good grocery store outside of Dover? Maybe even South Jersey - easy off, easy on? Probably will need some last minute supplies.

There is a food lion right at the exit for South Smyrna on RT 1. Its the town just north of Dover. I don't remember the exit number but there are 2 for Smyrna and its the 2nd if you're going south. There are plenty of other ones too but that is the only one I can think of that is right at an exit.
