I love the bands and the lineup last year, and the one that surprised me most was the local group "Lower Case Blues" This was a great band and was among the most surprising. Even the roadies and technicians from other stages came over to listen to them and were also impressed!! Lets check em out again!!

Looks like The Avett Brothers could be playing. They're already playing two fests this year. They have no dates posted the weekend of Firefly and are in Virginia June 20th. Not sure if they'd be a headliner but def pre-headliner slot.

If they do headline I would not expect Mumford to be one of the other headliners. Bummer about FUN.

Talked with my Portugal. The Man source. They would neither confirm nor deny a Firefly appearance. She did tell me that her cousin said that they refuse to play the same fest two years in a row and they played a lot of festivals last year. Sounds like a good shot for an appearance. For the Record they are playing some shows with the Avett Brothers this year. Package deal maybe?

looks like we'll get the lineup on February 19th. Firefly posted this as a comment to its most recent facebook post.
"Hold tight Firefly, we’re working hard on our end to perfect and finalize this year’s lineup. We couldn’t be more excited to share it with all of you. If you don’t want any more clues, take a hiatus from our page for a couple more weeks. In the mean time, we’re dropping hints to get the rest of you excited. Trust us, National Chocolate Mint Day can’t come soon enough."
Google tells me national chocolate mint day is the 19th.

Also, one of Firefly's latest tweets is: "Keeping the lineup from you is a lot harder than you think. Clues coming soon…"
Public Enemy had a single called Harder Than You Think. They have some tour dates in March and April of this year in the US and Europe.
It could happen.

Does Public Enemy fit with the image that Firefly is creating? If they are there I hope that there is a better option during the same time slot.

I wouldn't rule out Public Enemy. They played Bonnaroo in 2009 and closed out a tent on a Friday night. If they played Firefly they would be a third tier band. They would probably play in the afternoon

We can rule out Fall out Boy!
» 6/19 -- Seattle, WA @ Sodo » 6/20 -- Vancouver, BC @ Commodore Ballroom » 6/22 -- Salt Lake City, UT @ In the Venue » 6/23 -- Denver, CO @ Ogden

I think it's a no for fun. They will be in Paris June 20. What do you guys think of Sasquatch? I think it's real solid I hope firefly has a similar feel at least.

They still could play Sat. or Sun., I'm sure they have multiple sets of gear by this point. I wouldn't count them out, but I wouldn't say they are highly likely. Everyone seems to think the picture of the Dogfish Head was a clue for FUN.
Sasquatch looks good except for Macklemore as a headliner. That song just hit the radio here and it is painful. I'm surprised by the high billing for Lumineers and Imagine Dragons. Neither have had a second single on the radio and it's not like they have been on the festival circuit a while and paid their dues, I think there are plenty of bands should be billed higher. Undercard looks great though.

Tame Impala just expanded their tour dates with what looks like gaps for Bonnaroo and Firefly Seen them twice already. They would be a crucial addition, especially since no other east coast festival has pulled them yet.
