That's extremely realistic djc.. although I don't think The Postal Service is a headliner.. definite preheadliner material, but hopefully Beck will be the third headliner in addition to The Postal Service.
Beck is one of a few bucket list artists I have yet to cross out.

I think Postal Service would be in the Top three purely because they are playing so few shows. I believe they are in the to 3 at Sasquatch and that is a much larger festival than firefly. I'm hoping they aren't bc I think they would be a snooze fest live.

I can definitely see Postal Service playing Firefly, but headlining? Headlining a festival day is a big deal. Postal Service has one album. I get it, very cool that they are back together but compared to last year's headliners I think it would be a pretty steep drop to have them at top billing. Modest Mouse played at like 6 o'clock last year people. I see Postal Service fitting in around that time slot

If they are on the bill they will be top 3. Look at their billing at other festivals. I'm not saying they should be but they will. The only bands I see being billed higher are Pearl Jam, Mumford or Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I don't really get the Postal Service buzz. Sure, that one album was great...and they're back....cool....but there's no way PS can headline.
REALLY into the Tame Impala idea! Hope that pans out.
Bahhh, I want to know the line-up dammit. All the clues are nuts, esp the one they just released.

Here are some of my predictions based on recent tour announcements and other festival lineups: Possible: - Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes (playing multiple festivals this year)
- Foals (tour ends in Asheville, NC 6/12)
- Grizzly Bear (tour ends in Columbia, MD 6/16)
- Pretty Lights (playing multiple US festivals)
- Surfer Blood (tour w/ Foals ends 6/12)
- Tame Impala (tour ends in Philadelphia, PA 6/19)
- The Avett Brothers (playing in VA 6/20)
- The Lumineers (playing multiple US festivals)
- The Postal Service (playing Sasquatch, Coachella, in NY 6/14)
- The xx (joint tour w/ Grizzly Bear until 6/16, however playing in UK 6/23)
Unlikely: - Alt-J (multiple festivals in Europe on the same weekend)
- Animal Collective (playing ATP Festival 6/21-6/23 in UK)
- Arctic Monkeys (multiple festivals)
- Band of Horses*
- Dan Deacon (ATP Festival)
- Deerhunter (ATP Festival)
- Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (multiple festivals)
- Modest Mouse (multiple festivals)
- Of Monsters and Men (multiple festivals)
- Phoenix*
- Sigur Ros (multiple festivals)
- The Gaslight Anthem (multiple festivals)
- Two Door Cinema Club*
*= unlikely unless they play Bonnaroo or have a short US tour because they are in between shows/festivals in Europe

I think you are correct with every band you listed as possible. I'm thinking no XX though. I can't believe they are playing such huge venues. They would need to be billed Top 5 and I don't think will be a big draw.

So I don't know why this has never been brought up, but the Mid-Atlantic has the most widespread and dense urban sprawl of any part of the nation. There's half a dozen major cities within 200 miles of Dover.. how many regional bands do you think Firefly will snag?
Possibilities:
Real Estate (NJ) Pissed Jeans (PA) Spinto Band (DE) Matt & Kim (NY) Bruce Springsteen (NJ) The War on Drugs (PA) Kurt Vile & the Violators (PA) Beach House (MD) The Roots (PA)
..and so forth.. feel free to expand that list, it could go on indefinitely. Hoping for Spinto Band specifically, they're from Wilmington and I have yet to see them. They also just released a new album to some acclaim.
