With all these conflicts in the schedule, I have to make some tough decisions on who I'm going to see. So one way to make these choices are to figure out which bands are better live.
So tells us your experiences with any of the artists that will be at Firefly!
I'm particularly interested in AWOLNATION, Graffiti6, Cults, Bombay Bicycle Club, Bassnectar, Silversun Pickups, Young The Giant, and Girl Talk. But if you have seen any other bands, feel free to contribute!

I've seen Silversun Pickups, Cold War Kids, Ok Go, Partial sets from Flaming Lips, and The Black Keys.
I'm really torn between Passion Pit and Lupe. I've missed Lupe the last couple times I've had a chance to see him. I heard Passion Pit puts on a good live show though

Were the Silversun Pickups good live?

Saw Jack White this weekend - amazing - loads of Stripes/Raconteurs/Dead Weather stuff and mixes his set up quite a bit. I was a bit disappointed with The Black Keys earlier this year (too much new stuff... stick to the two-piece IMO!!) but worth seeing.
Matched to catch Lower Case Blues in a bar in Baltimore last year completely by chance... highlight of my trip that so worth waking up early for on the Sunday.
Lucky none of these clash mind..!

The Killers Black Keys Trampled by Turtles Cold War Kids Death Cab Modest Mouse Michael Franti Flaming Lips Bassnectar Lupe Fiasco Matt Costa Girl Talk
don't have a bad thing to say about any of them that i've seen. but i can tell you from past performances i will NOT miss matt costa, bassnectar, and trampled by turtles.
flaming lips vs. girl talk im really not sure about
and i will say based on the past, i will probably check out passion pit's set instead of lupe's

I have seen Jack White with the Dead Weather at Bonnaroo '10, he was phenomenal. Seen Trampled By Turtles this year in Cincinnati...one of the absolute best live shows I've ever seen...will not miss them period.

Bands I've seen: Jack White(dead weather and the raconteurs), DCfC, The Black Keys, Bassnectar, The flaming lips, Girl talk, the head and the heart, reptar, ok go, Ra Ra riot, passion pit, Lupe fiasco, heartless bastards, Silversun pickups, and Fitz and the tantrums.
I am really looking forward to seeing The Black Keys again because they disappointed me at bonnaroo last year. This is their chance for redemption!
As for bands not to be missed, definitely check out The Head and the Heart! This will be sixth time seeing them and they are one of the best live bands I've ever seen and I've seen a lot.
Also, the flaming lips vs girl talk isn't a problem for me. I saw girl talk at wakarusa and it just isn't for me. The flaming lips were amazing at bonnaroo so I will definitely not miss their show.

I've seen Walk the Moon, DCfC, Black Keys, Head and the Heart, Cake, Modest Mouse, Fitz and the Tantrums, and BBC. No issues with any of them. Of the ones I've seen before who put on such a great show that I'll see them again:
Walk the Moon Fitz and the Tantrums The Head and the Heart Cake
I would say Modest Mouse too, but I've been dying to see Trampled by Turtles. I'll see Death Cab again - they're not so much amazing in concert as I really love their songs and I always love hearing live the songs I love.

How was Cake? I've heard they could be pretty boring live. I've never had the chance to see them but have always wanted to

Cake is definitely more laid back than some. But their songs are very infectious and the crowds really get into it. Plus the lead singer, John McRea, makes me laugh.

I saw Girl Talk a few years ago. The show itself wasn't anything impressive, but the massive dance party was a hell of a lot of fun.
I haven't seen Flaming Lips but I hear nothing but amazing things, so I will definitely see them over Girl Talk.
I'm a little torn between Modest Mouse and Trampled by Turtles, though.

Out of the lineup I've only seen a few.
Young the Giant Chiddy Bang Mariachi El Bronx
Young the Giant is an incredibly fun show. They're really into playing and I had an absolute blast, not having been an avid listener beforehand.
Chiddy Bang I love, being from an hour from Philly and all. However when they came to play a show at my school two years ago, they showed up two hours late and then couldn't remember any of their own lyrics. After "playing" more so freestyling, terribly if I do say, for 30 minutes the police came and shut them down because of a noise ordinance. I want to give them a second chance though since I do like their music.
Mariachi El Bronx I saw at Bonnaroo this year. I had never heard of them previously and the two guys I was walking around with stopped at their set. We had thought it was a different band, we considered leaving but am glad we stayed. They're a lot of fun to listen to. They are more of a salsa band so if that's not your scene, no problem. I know they're slated against CWK, but I definitely suggest checking them out for at least a second. They're really a lot of fun!
